Originally from Birmingham, Junaid moved to London to study Dentistry at King’s College London before heading north to Edinburgh for his vocational training. During his time in Scotland, he particularly enjoyed exploring Edinburgh and immersing himself in the local Scottish culture.
His interest in implant dentistry led him to undertake further postgraduate training at the British College of Implant Dentistry in Reading. Alongside this, Junaid also completed a Master’s Degree in Implant Dentistry at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, further developing his knowledge and experience in implant and restorative dentistry.
Junaid has always had a strong interest in the wider impact dentistry can have on people’s lives. During his training, he was involved in helping to establish oral health education sessions across rural villages in Indonesia. His contribution to the project was recognised with an award at the Saving Kids’ Teeth Conference for the Dental Wellness Trust.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys horse riding, following sport and spending time with family and friends.
Recognised by the Dental Wellness Trust for founding and leading an oral health initiative that provided 1,000 toothbrushes to orphaned children across East Asia.
